Brian McDonald was educated at the US Coast Guard Academy, University of Florida and the University of Miami School of Law. He is an Assistant Public Defender in the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

He is licensed as both a Real Estate Instructor and as a Real Estate Sales Associate by the Florida real Estate Commission. Previous teaching assignments have included Paralegal and Real Estate Licensing Courses at Florida National College and Miami-Dade College as well as Real Estate Licensing Courses at proprietary real estate schools
